There is a unique cultural heritage that exists in Kohala. The focus of this mentorship is to regenerate the rich history of the different ethnicities that include traditions, culture, and arts so they do not become lost to the present generation of youth. Youth and Kupuna work and learn in a joint effort. Some of the projects completed include the “Back in Time Grinds” Night, wreath making highlighting the use of Native Hawaiian plants of Kohala, and the construction of the Japanese New Year Kodamatsu.
